Webinar "Microscopy Masters - Ways to Analyze Interactions between Lymphocytes and Extracellular Vesicles (EVs)"

During acute phase responses, proinflammatory conditions increase the amount of cell-bound phosphatidylserine+ (PS) extracellular vesicles (EVs). These EVs interact especially with CD8+ T cells, which are crucial for the clearance of viral infections.

In this Microscopy Masters webinar, Dr Jan Kranich, Group Leader at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich, will share their work analyzing cell-bound PS+ EVs and their target cells in vivo. They used super-resolution imaging to reveal that PS+ EVs attach to clusters of CD8 molecules on the T cell surface, as well as other techniques to show that these EVs provide antigen-specific adjuvant effects to activated CD8+ T cells in vivo.
